What do you look for in the background check?

The background check searches for any criminal records

When and how do I get paid?

Once you have registered in the IBM Liquid Challenge Portal and have successfully designed and/or programmed the specified component, IBM will notify you that your submittal was successful and accepted. Once this is done, ZeroChaos will send payment. Payments are issued with 15-20 days of successful completion, and range anywhere from $60-840 USD, minus applicable taxes and program fees, and depending on the component that was completed. When accepting components in the Liquid Portal, you will see what the payment for the component will be. If your component is not successful, IBM may ask you to rework it and submit it. A component is payable only when approved and accepted by IBM. During the Enrollment Process, you will receive more instructions on how you will receive payment.

Payment notification is provided to ZeroChaos by IBM via an “approved events” spreadsheet. Those Players whom IBM has authorized as having successfully completed events will be identified on the spreadsheet and communicated to ZeroChaos. There is no additional process required for the Player.

Will there be any deduction from the actual amount mentioned on Liquid Portal for particular event ?

There will be an additional deduction from the Liquid Event amount identified in the portal. This deduction encompasses a processing fee. Processing fees are 9.7% which includes a payment “float” fee and administrative fees. It is our expectation that we will issue payment(s) to Liquid Players within an estimated 20 days from being notified by IBM of a completed event. As IBM pays ZeroChaos at Net 60 days, we are “floating” the payment to you. We are “floating” payment so that Players do not have to wait 60+ days to receive payment for successful event completion.

If I will get a cheque in USD then do I need to open any bank account to accept foreign currency?

Payment will be made in the form of an EFT wire to your banking facility. ZeroChaos will not be processing live cheques. Payments will be processed in USD$, however, upon deposit, the funds will be converted to your Country’s currency.
