Microsoft Rolls Out New Cost Management Feature for Azure Cloud
Microsoft recently announced new enhancements to the Azure Cloud at its annual Ignite conference in Orlando, Florida. The company unveiled Azure Cost Management services in integration with Cloudyn which it acquired earlier this year.
The cost management services help IT leaders to manage the costs associated with shifting to cloud-based infrastructures from on-premises. In addition, this tool will provide a holistic view of the multi-cloud environments and help better optimize the cloud spend.

Google Launches A Digital Wallet, Tez
Google has officially launched its first massive foray into the digital wallet in India. It has rolled out a new UPI-based payment application called Tez. The app helps users link their bank accounts to their mobile to make online purchases, person-to-person money transfer with a new twist – Audio QR.
Audio QR uses ultrasonic sounds for allowing users to exchange money, bypassing the NFC requirement. “Send money home to your family, split a dinner bill with friends, or pay the neighborhood chaiwala. Make all payments big or small, directly from your bank account with Tez, Google’s new digital payment app for India,” Google notes in its information portal about the new app.
Amazon Pinpoint Introduces Two-Way Texting Feature
The AWS Pinpoint tool has announced a global SMS two-way texting feature. The Pinpoint tool allows developers to send highly targeted push notifications, eventually helping them to stay connected to their users. But the new two-way text messaging capability will let the Pinpoint users leverage both a 10-digit phone number and shortcodes to push inbound messages to an SNS topic.
“SMS is an area of continued investment for AWS so you can expect to see more advances and improvements as customers give us feedback on these new features,” AWS software engineer Randall Hunt wrote in a blog post.
