Client was is a privately held leading application service provider, headquartered in California, USA. They developed, deployed and managed, one to many architectures over a secure global network, using excellent infrastructure for small business information management applications.
The client wanted a Web based application designed to support Veterinary Doctors and Clinics using Dynamic Data Base Driven rendering of Web Pages. Similar to a Hospital Portal, this custom healthcare software development application would support pets as the patients and owners would be registered for communication purposes.
‘PracticeVeterinary’ developed on the model of SaaS (Software as a Service) by Rishabh Software was a powerful web-based Veterinary Practice Management Solution Software suite for veterinary practices. The integrated software suite helped veterinary practices to better manage their business and clinical processes such as Pet demographics, Appointment Schedules, Boarding Calendar, Medical Records, Prescriptions, Reminders and Recalls, Estimates and Invoices, Accounts Receivable and Payable, General Ledger, Inventory, Suppliers, Human Resources, Payroll, E-mail and website.
Based on a simple ‘record card’ format, the Veterinary Practice Management Solution consisted of four screens that managed Client, Patient, Visit and Financial records. A unique PracticeVeterinary feature – Clipboards – managed Appointment Diaries, Workflow, Operations Schedules, Waiting to Pay Lists and many other scheduling and information management tasks.
Extensive ‘back-office’ functions provided the Practice Manager with very comprehensive reporting, accounting, inventory control and marketing features.
The veterinary practice management application was adopted and developed under MVC architecture using J2EE technologies, where the model was handled by EJBs on the server side, the HTML GUI was created using XML/XSL and the Servlets acted as controllers.
