Xamarin, IBM Partner on Enterprise Mobile App Development

Mobile development platform provider Xamarin has announced a partnership with IBM that will expand Xamarin’s enterprise mobile developer ecosystem. Xamarin is partnering with IBM to support Big Blue’s MobileFirst platform in order to enable Xamarin developers in building multi-device enterprise apps. As partners, Xamarin and IBM will be creating an end-to-end foundation for developers to help them mobilize mission-critical enterprise data in their apps in a more efficient manner.

With this partnership Xamarin aims to simplify the development of native mobile apps for iOS, Android and Windows devices to easily connect to enterprise data and systems through the IBM MobileFirst Platform. It is estimated that as a result of this joint effort, the estimated six million C# developers can now easily bridge to multi-platform, connected mobile development.
